Our mission

Nobody should have to go through it alone.

We were founded in memory of Mya, by a family who learned how hard it is to find real help in time. Here’s the work.

Peer support

Weekly circles for ages 13 to 25, facilitated by trained young adults with lived experience and supervised by a licensed clinician.

Education

Plain-language guides on depression, anxiety, self-harm and suicide risk. Written for teenagers, and for the parents and teachers around them.

Professional care Coming soon

A vetted directory of licensed therapists and psychiatrists who take youth clients, with sliding-scale and no-cost options listed first. Launching soon.

Why we exist
“I don’t wish my illness on anyone.”

– Mya

Mya’s Angels was founded in memory of Mya, who lost their battle with mental health on February 17, 2025, at only 24 years old. Their family started this foundation so the next young person looking for help finds it sooner, and hears it from someone who sounds like them.
